What is og:video?
An Open Graph tag that points at a video file. Apps that support it play the video in your link preview instead of a still image. iMessage does; others show your og:image.
What size should an og:video be?
1200 × 630, the same shape as an og:image. The file here is an H.264 MP4 at 30 fps. The loop runs 5 to 10 seconds and repeats without a visible cut; free files add a 1.5 second Made with gradients.studio card at the end.
Is it free?
Making previews is free with no account. Downloading needs a free account. Free files end with a short Made with gradients.studio card; Pro files don’t.
Do you host the video?
No. You put og-video.mp4 and og-image.jpg on your own site, so the link works as long as your site does.
